It’s been a whirlwind few months for my books.

And it’s not slowing down any time soon.

*deep breath* *happy dance*

I’m still out in Virginia, having had an amazing time at the Virginia Festival of the Book. I loved meeting my fellow panelists Eric Smith (Nautilus tattoo), Shaun Hutchinson (fellow Star Trek junkie), and Brenda Drake (so fun to meet IRL!). I also loved connecting with Pintip Dunn, Vu Tran & Manual Gonzalez.

Taping interviews with radio stations was extra bonus fun. Thanks so Z95 for featuring The 13th Continuum  in their book club. What a tremendously rad way to come back to my home turf of VA.

I have so much exciting news! Where do I start?

  1. We’re attaching a director to The 13th Continuum! Yup, you read that right. Zero Gravity is producing the film and packaging the project. I’ll share more details as it becomes public.
  2. I’m attending the Launch Pad Astronomy Workshop for Writers in June with some AMAZING fellow SF authors. I can’t wait to learn more about real science to incorporate into my books. It’s pretty much nerd heaven.
  3. The YA Scavenger Hunt is starting next week—stay tuned for my post!
  4. I just taped an episode of the Geek Confidential podcast—”Women in Geekdom” coming SOON!
  5. So many events coming up! I’ll be appearing at the Hawaii Book & Music Festival at 4PM on Saturday May 6, with the amazing Kate Elliott in the authors pavilion. Signing at Barnes and Noble immediately following the panel.
  6. I’m also on a panel for WhedonCon on 5/20 at 4:30PM with some amazing authors. Cosplay will happen!
  7. I’m judging finalists for a SF short fiction contest—The Roswell Award.

Okay, there’s even more, including moderating a YA mystery panel for Barnes and Novel in April. I’ll keep updating my events page as more cool stuff books. Can’t wait to see how it all plays out!
