Spectre Deep 6
Elite soldiers who died in the line of duty — brought back as ghosts.
- Bram Stoker Award Finalist — Best Graphic Novel
In the vein of Flatliners and Ghost meets The Bourne Identity, a diverse team of black-ops Spectres — elite soldiers who died in the line of duty, only to be reanimated by military scientists and brought back as actual ghosts — carry out illicit missions for the United States government in exchange for day passes to haunt their old lives and fulfill their unfinished business. They scare a target to death so it looks like a stroke or a heart attack, then ghost from the scene. No trace. The catch: they’re like batteries. Without a recharge they disperse and pass on, which is why they stay locked in a containment bunker under Area 51, powered by a nuclear reactor. They didn’t ask to be brought back. A Bram Stoker Award Finalist for Best Graphic Novel, co-created with illustrator Jules Rivera.
